crx header on y8 engine...

crx header on y8 engine...
i have heard that as long as it is D series to D series then it will work. but on ebay i seen somebody selling a header and it said 88-95 crx, civic, delsol, all sohc. will not work on 96+ though?
i am wondering why..i need to now because i have one that somebody might buy, but it is for a 96 y8.
