yup its basically plug, and play you can use everything from the d16 on the d15 also if you want... if you know how to take the motor out easily, its easier to put one in.

how many miles does ur z6 have? how do u know that the d15 is less miles and healthier?
unless ur z6 has a whole bunch of problems with it, i say keep it, i've seen alot of over mileage motors run real strong...

I agree, if your Z6 is still running great and giving no problems why swap it? You didn't mention any problems with the Z6 in your OP.

Yeah I would just swap it when it craps on you, but when you swap it, it should pnp and that p28 ecu should go great on the d15b

or if you have both motors, and little more money get a b series swap a strong running d16z6 and if you order a motor online that is strong low miles one... you can get around 1000 for both for a complete swap, then get like another grand for a b16 or something

I found that the d16z6 is one of the most bullet proof motors out there. I've boosted both d16 and d15 and I had no problems with the d16.

If you really really want to swap, it's going to be a really easy job.

One more thing. Depending on if you are going to go with a non vtec head or not, you might want to take a look at the ecu's that come with a stock d15.

the reason why i wanna swap it is because my d16 has 219k miles it runs and it doesnt smoke at all but idk i guess i just want something with less miles i guess mean while i finish building my k24/k20

3-500k miles isn't uncommon for Hondas.

if u do swap the jdm d15b just be sure what parts to use before you put it in if you do some maintenence like replacing timing belt, water pump, etc....the timing belt you get off the vx civic. u can use a d16z6 one if you use the d16z6 tensioner or something. theres a thread on here telling allll about the jdm d15b if thats what your talken about and im guessing that is because why go for less power with something like a d15b7...

but i have a jdm d15b and i loveee it. very happy with it for a single cam...just gettin ready for boost
