hey my smog was due for my em1 and i just have a quick question. thhey said the cold air i have was for an EX model and not an Si. he showed me on the screen and theres different part #s. will it affect which one i use? is the Si version thicker?

ALSO, how do u clean a dry flow air filter? i have a k&n recharge kit but can i use it on the aem dryflow air filter (cone shape style)? theres like bugs and dirt in it

There is not that much of a differance to affect anything and as far as the filter goes i'm not 100% sure. AEM has thier own cleaning kit for the filter but it doesn't look like it uses the oil recharger, to get the bugs and dirt out lightly tap it against the concret and wash it like a k&n.

 

oh ok, is there any difference between using the aem or k&n filter as far as performance goes? im using my short ram intake right now since its been raining a lot

 

I don't think there is a difference in the filters but there might b 1 or 2 hp but there is a bigger difference in a cold air and a short ram.
