Driving to a friends house. A water main busted and flooded the street. By the time I noticed, I'm in 6in high water. Well, my car has cold air intake system and sucked up water into the manifold. But I started it after I waited a sc and pushed it out the water, now I havea tapping noise. My mechanic says a valve is dammaged and he'll need to pull the head off and fix it. But it runs fine, if i wasnt for the noise, I wouldnt be worried. Anyone have an idea what the problem is?

 

well I got another opinion. either a rod bearing is goin out. or a rocker arm got lifted.
