I've got a 97 with 171K on it and other than the fact that it drinks oil, it's fairly dependable. Anyway, the acceleration is kind of choppy. If you try to accelerate there are usually a few slight pauses before it goes that are pretty annoying. I put in a bottle of Redline SI-1 and I'm changing the air and fuel filters as well as the pcv valve. Is there anything else I can do?

I tried that. Got an s2000 and it was stolen and chopped up after 2 months. I doubt anyone would steal my shitty prelude, so at least I don't have to worry about that.

If thats a no - then just be glad your car accelerates at all.

 

Is it a standard or automatic transmission?
