Has any body got their car painted there ? If so how's the quality ?

you mean maaco?

depends on which one you go to.... most do shotty work... but scattered throughout you get some decent paint jobs out of them

Maybe if you did all of the prep and gave them paint they would be OK. Not sure how bad they could screw it up if you did everything for them aside from actually painting it.

 

i had then paint a set of mirrors once, they missed spots, it flaked and had some bubbles. dont go cheap with paint.

 

Ok since maaco sucks , any places on southern calif ?

 

i had a car painted there once, wasnt too bad, it was all the over spray that killed it. took me a few days to clean up the mess. but u get what u pay for. 350.00 did a color change and door jams.

I had my car painted at Maaco and it looks amazing for $270.94 out the door.

The only reason people hate on Maaco is because they take their car there after they just drove it and expect a high quality paint job. IF you do the prep work yourself, you will most likely get a decent paint job. They do no body work/sanding for the cheap paint jobs, they paint it and let it dry and it will peel and chip unless you sand and prep it first. So the people that complain are usually the ones that did no prep work. Just my opinion, hopes this helps op.

I think you get what you pay for with paint... I payed I think $1200 for same color milano red paint on my ek, over 3 years later it still looks amazing when it's clean

although z6htch is proving me wrong, I dig your teal with purple slips man, it looks sick

I think it really depends which Maaco paints your car. Years ago, I had a truck painted by Maaco and they did some body repair and prep work. It really came out nice.

that purple slip look crazy in a good way. if u have connection with ppl who work at Maaco u can get mad discount and probably better quality job! trying to paint my car next year but only if i save enough money for that. im a broke full time students.

 

what about one day paint? i want to go y-56 on my hatch. also could maaco do it? and witch one do you sujest?

 

great color choice. I have that on my ek hatch.

But it wasn't painted by a place like that.

theres a maco in orange that does a good job. on bativia they did the copper ef that is posted in a earlier post above.
