Hard pull to right and clunking sound?
So yesterday it snowed and I took my GF's EJ8 (factory height = easier for 5 inches of snow) and my street was not plowed. As soon as I was able to back out the driveway and turn to go forward( down the hill) the car slid into the curb. Only the tire was hit. I shoveled around the tires and made a clean path to drive, and it did it again. Anyway, got off of my street and otw to work, I hit a patch of ice and did a complete 180 but did not strike anything. Then driving to work, I felt the car pulling as if it needs an alignment and the car makes a clunking sound when turning the steering wheel while not driving. Any ideas or suggestions?
when ever I turn in my car I hear a clunking noise so I checked into it, it was my a-arm bushing. It was cracked and worn down so I had metal to metal contact. its only a possibility.
A clunking sound when turning is symptomatic of, among other things, a broken inner CV joint. Check your half shafts, especially around the four CV joints. Lots of other possibilities, though.
