Default Shocks or Coilovers?

The shocks on my car are shot and I need to replace them. Should I just go cheap and stick with the stock ones, get upgraded spring / shock combo, or should I bite the bullet and buy some coilovers?

That's the first question he should ask himself, for sureeeeee.

AUTO-X/Purpose racing...save up your money and do some research.

Daily driving/Looking heller dope...Cheap Koni's or Dropzone suspension, lol.

I'm in the same situation as the OP. I've decided to go with coilovers for the flexibility of changing the height anyway I want.

If you don't care about inproving performance or lowering, stick with OEM. If you want to gain a little performance, Progress II are good height adjustable coilovers for $550, and Koni Sport with Ground Control sleeves give you height and damping adjustment for $800. Both are supposedly good for DD.
