has anyone made a dual diaphragm pressure plate using stock parts (B series)
I have a couple of B series pressure plates, so can I take them apart and use two diaphragms in a single pressure plate to have a greater clamping force? I only want to use it for a single race, so I'm not too worried about the extra force on the thrust bearings.
It looks like all i would have to do is remove some metal (that is the thickness of a single diaphragm) so it would still be positioned in the stock position.
Anyone do this before? I got ripped off by Clutch Specialties and now don't have a good pressure plate to run for IFO San Antonio. I can use an exedy stage 1 pressure plate, but I'm not sure if that will hold up for me.
thanks for your feedback
Mike
