okay so heres the deal kids selling an h22a everything with it for 650 only thing is it has a blown tranny and the other kid has a type R b18 fresh rebuild zero milage mint looking for 1500 what should i do?

 

thats easy, type r swap. B>H anyday. you would be disappinted with the h22. trust me.

the cost for the swap B>H will definitly need less money, however h22 will be a stronger engine choice tho for power wise and torque wise, vtec kicks in stronger too i think?

 

Type-R

 

You're never going to find a b18c5 for that low. As opposed to h22 go for that all day. The blown tranny is a sign... Youre going to keep blowing trannies unless you do an h2b which cost even more money. The h swap cost a lot in extra parts and labor, plus you need someone thats know what they're doing to help or take it to a shop.

Power wise the h22 will have a little more torque thats it.

I would go with the type r

 

yeah dont go H-SERIES unless u do the H2B trans swap. heard bad stuf about h-series trans cuz the ratios suck.

type-r = peoples dream motor (atleast mine)
