well for about a year my cars been throwing a code 9...but still ran fine ..then it just started sputtering when i really got on her between 7k an 8k rpms.then finally out of nowhere it started sputtering at about 2 to 3k rpms but it only did it once... so now im scared to drive it long distances ,so i only drive it about 4 miles a day an it doesnt do none of the above except between 7k an 8k rpms.so my question is if i replace my dizzy will the code go away an will it run fine .or should i take it to a mechanic .thanx for listening all help is appreciated .does anyone have a working dizzy for cheap ? like 50 bills or cheaper ?sorry currently broke .hehe...thanx guys ...

 

first of all, what motor? generally, code nine means the cranks pos. sensor inside the dizzy has gone bad, and you need to replace the dizzy. i had to do it on my car

 

its a jdm b16 first gen .i just dont wanna buy a dizzy an then the same **** happen ...
