Weird noise at higher rpms

When I reach about 3000 rpms in any gear my car makes a weird noise.
I am not sure how to describe the sound.
It kind of sounds like metal scrapping or something.
Any idea what could be the problem?

Probably do you some good to be able to describe it better. Are there any CELs? Any way you could post a video? Or sound clip?
