Default '94 accord

My friend has a 94 accord that acts like it is not getting enough fuel to run down the highway. We replaced the fuel filter, it didn't help. he was recently in a minor accident and the airbags deployed, could this have put the computer in a "limp home mode" If so how do we get it out of that mode? Does the old trick old disconnecting the battery work? Any ideas would be much appreciated.
Thanks alot,
Mike

Just a guess from an amateur, but have you considered the fuel pump or injectors as a possible culprit?

Would a fuel pump cause that? I always though that an electric fuel pump either worked or didn't. Is there a schrader valve on there somewhere to hook a pressure guage to? I didn't see one last time I was under the hood but I wasn't really looking for one.
Thanks again,
Mike

Anything electrical can gradually fade out into complete failure, its a simple matter of electricity flow. Your problem could be any number of things. I'd first rule out your fuel filter and injectors before that though.

A quiock update, the shop says the catalylic converter is plugged and is causing the ecu to cut back on the fuel.
Thanks for the help,
Mike

A clogged converter should have definitely thrown a code for catalyst below threshold.
