Can OEM wheels re-surfaced?
I have a 93 vtec lude with the OEM alloy wheels....They are in good condition as far as curb damage is concerned but the protective sealing on it has started to come off and they also have what appears to be water spots all over them....I am assuming the previous owned didnt take very good care of them....I just wanted to know if there was anyplace in So. Cal that can polish/ re surface ( im not sure what the process is called) the rims for a decent price? I dont want to buy new rims because i want the car to be as stock as possible for now....any help is appreciated...thanks
If you want them to look stock, you can strip the rest of the clear coat off and have them re-cleared. Polishing them would leave them with more of a "chrome" finish.
yes that is what i want to do (STRIP AND RE-FINISH)...but where can i get this done at in so.cal??? i am located in the 626 but i would be willing to travel a little bit if anyone knows a quality place to get it done....
yea i like the clear coat idea.....i think ill go that route..im not worried about spending a few extra bucks to get it lookin good...k ill look around and see what i find
