Can anyone tell me some information on these?
Where were they offered?
On what models?
Where can they be bought?
What do they do?
Thanks in advance for anyone who helps me out.
i know that the civics in the bahamas have those... and some of the jdm civics have those parking poles on the front as well, not that the one pictured has them. wish i could be more help... but it looks like itd be more of an aux. light that turns on when you hit the signal, lighting the area in which you are turning into...just a guess
They were an oem option on Honda's from over sea's...Europe and Japan mostly. You would have to mod your bumper and custom wire it once you have the parts
Not sure about that option in the bahamas, i was there last year...saw some jdm type civic's but not with the turn signal lens option. Here's a pic i shot....

They were offered for at least certain years of the Civic, Accord and CR-V. There were also an earlier style that was more square.
They aren't really offered by any aftermarket parts company for sale in the US. They are no longer available through US dealers.
Their function is that they both light the way for turns into dark roads and driveways and alert that you are about to turn or change lanes. When the turn signal turns on they hold on solid.
^ thats what i was thinking... i think they're ugly but thats just me lol... and i saw a few like that in the bahamas deetz, most were like the pic you posted. however after the bus ride from the nassau airport i dont see the point of putting lights on anything, they'll just get busted out... i drive crazy, and so do my friends...but bahamians definitely take the cake... we almost ran over 3 different people on bicycles haha and im pretty sure when you buy a brand new car there, they come pre-damaged for your convenience LMFAO! good times, good times!

not at all... the one he posted a pic of looks nice though, as far as condition... those are very few and far between down there. they had the most kick *** stop lights down there haha... every moderate intersection had a big pedestal in the center and there was a Nassau police officer standing on each on of them using hand signals to direct traffic lol... just for reference, dont wave at them haha.

Thanks for all of the info guys. NOFX, I figured you would chime into this thread. ;P
So they light up solid for the entire time your blinker is on? So that would mean there is one of these lights on each side of your car?
Also, has anyone seen these for sale anywhere?

Anyone else know where I can find these?
Or even what to call them? (in other words, what to search for?)
Yes, it's a set of lights. One for each side.
Might be kind of hard to see here, but they're on both sides.

Btw, they will not plug into US headlights.
I've seen them called cornering lights, intersection lights and high speed turning lights. In the US you'll see lots of different cars had them. Most often I see them on Cadillacs, but they also came on some Fords and Nissans several years back.
Since these help call attention to my car wanting to make a turn or change lanes, I really don't care that they came on "old people cars". They have a function that I could really use. Way too many people seem to ignore or not catch that your turn signal is on. I hate other drivers.

The generation Accord just posted ('90-'93) originally came with the older style cornering lights. The lights shown on that car are newer and appear to have been painted.
Here is the older style light.

One thing i am curious about...has anybody actually seen the this rare option on a local civic here in N/A? I have never seen one in Canada on a civic model from the dealer here. It's cool people have imported the parts from oversea's to give their car the option, just wonder if anybody saw the rare option from a local car??
I've seen them on a stock '97 Accord. I think it was an SE, but that doesn't really matter much.
Anyway, they never came on the Civic in the US, only the '96-'97 Accord.
The earlier ones weren't even available at all in the US as far as I know.
