Default Brown Coolant

So I checked my coolant today and I noticed that the fluid inside of the radiator is brown. It is kind of a milky color, it doesn't really smell like oil and my oil is still normal. I wouldn't think that the head gasket because it runs normally and it doesn't overheat or anything. Also their is no loss of power because I raced my friend with the same car and beat him. Any idea's?

If the head isn't blown then I'm guessing it's rust.

do you have an auto trans? if so, check the tranny fluid and see how it looks. the transmission cooler is built into the radiator. so its possible that the inside corroded or something causing the fluids to mix.

i'd say its probably rust. check the trans level, and if its ok, flush the cooling system.

Check all fluids and do a flush, then check the radiator on a daily, then weekly basis for a month to see if it returns.

where would the rust come from all the parts are aluminum including the water pump, radiator insert, and engine block/heads.........the only parts that are steel are the rad cap, impeller, and thermostat and those are not exposed to air.......
