[assuming you're talking about the heater valve for the coolant and not the blend door for the air to the vents]
the valve is under the hood, a small bracket holds it to the firewall aft of the transmission. you can follow the 5/8" heater hose from the cylinder head (under the distributor) to the valve itself.
as a note, if you're planning to remove or replace it, it's important to get the cables adjusted properly on installation. a repair manual will explain the procedure much better than i could..
