ok so its beed raining all damn day here in the 951 area and i got outta school to find puddles the size of the pacific ocean!(lol) anyways i went threw this puddle really slow and after i passed through it i hear a screetchin noise..as if my belt was lose or too tight..i have a stock D16z6 in my 94 cx hatch.

 

your belt probably got wet, it will go away.

 

cew i was worried...lol and also my buddy has a RSX auto and he has a short ram intake in his and he was going through some puddles and his check engine light came on..do you guys think water got into his intake? or maybe the filter is clogged?

 

doubt it. water should not touch his filter unless its a cold air intake that extend to the wheel. if water did got suck into his engine then it will hydrolock and doubt it will run still. he should go to some auto shop and scan for what code it is

 

Water can't get up that high if he has a short ram intake.

the answer to your question is who the f*** knows pull the code and find out that light comes on for over 100 reasons
