fan and other accesories wont turn off
Okay guys I really need some help from ya. My fan, center console, defogger and other switches on my dash won't shut off..especially the fan and it keeps draining my battery. It sems like I have power to the ignition without the key on but my radio stays off ..
I changed the ignition switch and a couple of relays but that don't seem to be the problem.
I have the dash off nd inspected the harness but I can't seem to find the problem.. my next option is the fuse box under the Hood but I want to kno what ya think it might. The cars starts ans runs but I dont want to risk it..plz help...

What it seems like is your ignition; however, you can take out the key (im assuing) and everything is still running, and by everything I am assuming the climate area minus the stereo.
Have you or someone else done a swap on the car? If so, is it wired properly? FCM is a guy that comes to mind when wiring and RON@HT for those matters.
How does your ignition feel? Sounds lame but the drum and teeth could be messed up from a possible theft attempt or just old age. So, is it loose or normal? How is the ignition wired?
I would hope you have an alarm system and if you don't get one, ha ha. How is that wired? WRXKillerSTIEater is a good source on that.
Are there any alterations to your battery, starter, ECU, or switches? Check those connections and values.
Those are just some questions and things to get you started, an expert I am not but a thinker I am and that is what we are here for. Until you get this sorted out I would suggest disconnecting your negative battery cable when you park it, if you have a garage. If you have an alarm and know how to wire it, wire alternate power into another battery so when you disconnect your main battery it runs off the back up.
I'll check back tomorrow and see if anyone else has said anything,.

Another thing I had bypassed the two wires for the fan to run straight and I just removed it so noe my fan turns off but I still have power to my dash and I have replaced the ignition But did no effect to the problem...would it be possible that the fuse box near the batt. would be the problem..

I wish it was that simple..
That was the first thing I went to the ignition and I replaced it wit a used working one and it did no effect to the problem but I try putting another one cuz that should be it. To be sure the ignition ya talking about is the white ball with the two brown pigtails that run down to the fuse box right

Hmm, do you know anyone that has the same swap that you could switch ECUs on...it might be that. Try that if you haven't already

This is a very wierd problem, obviously they are getting power somehow. Somehow your fan and dash are getting power without completing the circuit. A Haynes or Chiltons (Chiltons not reccomended) will give a wiring diagram. Trace your dash wires, on the diagram, back to the battery to see how they get power. I am sure that the switch on the steering column completes the circuit, i.e. you don't need your keys in to turn on your headlights which in turn, turns your climate lights on, if I am not mistaken.
So by process of elimination, you could have a switch/fuse problem. Ha ha I keep talking myself into different things but this situation is pretty lame and I love problems out of the ordinary because you never forget them and that's why I read this stuff everyday. Ha ha, sorry.
