Rebuilding del sol got list check it out
So far I have come up with this as what I need to do/buy to have a freshly OEM rebuilt motor...
head gasket............................................ ...OEM
Intake manifold gasket..................................HONDATA
Exhaust manifold gasket...............................AUTOZONE
Valve cover gasket........................................AUTO ZONE
Valve cover grommets/seals..........................AUTOZONE
Cam seals............................................. .........SKUNK2
Cam Gear seals............................................. .OEM
Valve seals............................................. ........OEM
Vtec Selenoid gaskets....................................OEM
Injector O-rings............................................. ..OEM
Oil pan gasket............................................ ....OEM
Waterpump gasket.........................................OEM
Both Main seals............................................. .OEM
Piston Rings............................................. .....OEM
ACL Rod & Main bearings, Thrust Washers.........Ebay/Hondatech or other forums
Golden Eagle Headbolts/studs.......................Golden Eagle/Ebay
B16 Water pump............................................OE M
B16 Oil pump.............................................. ...OEM
B16 Timing Belt.............................................O EM
That for parts?
And have machine work done including:
Have pistons and rods checked and hot tanked
New valve seals (intake and exhaust) have all valves checked/replaced if needed
Micro polish and balance crankshaft, install bearings.
Hone cyl walls, install pistons, rods, and rings. and have set in.
Assemble bottom end, and top end if it gets de-assembled
Use ARP rod bolts
Resurface head and block
and hot tank everything?
Then assemble the rest of the motor. done by myself

How are your cam gears/sprockets looking?
You may want to replace them if they seem a bit worn, for ease on the motor.
Perhaps new pulleys aswell.
I guess that wouldn't be necessary for the rebuild, but a good idea to have done.
Otherwise, your list looks good.
Goodluck!

Oh yeah.. i've heard i could put GSR cams in my b16 head is that true? and i'll get aem or skunk2 true time cam gears.. and a couple other things.
I want to boost this motor, but wanna ensure its health ya know. hense having all the internals checked out, if the pistons and rods need replaced ill get aftermarket forged ones. But im not shooting for more than 250whp. And dont have a **** ton of money.

If ur going boost and only want 250 to 300 hp than at least replace the piston and u can reuse the exhaust manifold gasket unless the one u have is badly damaged. There is no waterpump gasket and injector o-rings should b ok too but I would recomend getting new ones if ur going boost at least some 370cc's. GSR cam's will drop right in a B16 head and u will need some form of engine managment like Hondata, Crome, Neptune, ect.
^Thanks for the input. I will be dyno tuned by Cortney Green with Neptune. As far as the turbo parts will go here is what Ive got
Basic turbo kit... Turbo manifold BOV wastegate charge pipes oil lines intercooler... all that not sure on brands or style size yet.
Then RC Saturated injectors 750cc
GSR cams w/AEM trutime cam gears
GE fuel rail/ FPR and fuel psi gauge
Flyuidine radiator, and steel braided hoses
Oil catch can kit
victor x intake manifold
other goodies with turbo will be added.
But for now I was also told with stock internals I could safely make 250-300whp with a decent turbo and good tune.
I just want to know if my list of parts needed to rebuild the engine itself is accurate

Yes ur parts list seems to be in order and u can make up to 250-300 on stock parts but like I said it will take it's toll pretty fast on stock pistons. I mean the only part of the stock pistons that r weak and suk it the ring lands. It's the chance u take, I know ppl on here have made insain power on stock parts but how long have they lasted and what was the down fall?

Yeah I know its a risk. But im still unsure on what I ultimately want with the car so for now just a stock rebuild that is 542 bucks total from a local reputable machine shop isnt bad price for now.
