Default The difference in appearance for Base RSX and RSX-S

If i see a RSX on the street, I can't really tell if it is a regular base RSX or a RSX-S. I have to look at the back for the emblem to tell most of the time. If both are bone stock, what are some ways to tell the difference?

Sideskirts and front lip. On Type S they are body colored, on base they are black/greyish.

Also Arctic Blue is Type S only, Eternal Blue is Base only. The whites are also different shades for Type S and Base.

Well besides looking at the back to see if it is a base or RSX type S, you can also tell if it is a base or S by looking at the side skirts. The base has black unpainted side skirts and the type S has painted side skirts. Also the base has a smaller exhaust then the type S. Other then that, those are the only major things that can tell wheather it is a type S or a base.

The base is a 5 speed, the S is a 6 speed. Also, if you look out back, the muffler on the S is black, on the base it's polished (I'm talking about the muffler, not just the tip).

thats why the Type S needs different wheels, so at least you can tell them apart like that, as it was with the Ls ~vs~ Gs-R ....

You can look at the front wheels...you'll see that the Type S' brakes are bigger than the Bases.

You cant tell by the wheels, but look a little closer and the brakes will tell you.

LOL - yeah, the drop isn't noticeable. I was just being sarcastic. It does get stiffer spring rates though.
