Default cant take my tires off..please help

wassup guys..i recently bought a 89 civic hb DX as a project car (car was originally from canada)..anyways, the car came with 2 stock honda wheels in the front and 2 toyota wheels in the rear..(yes, i know it ghetto!) but anyways, my front right tire popped and when i tried to take off the tire, i used the bar that he gave me..i went to get the spare tire, and the jack and the bar that takes off the lugs...now heres the problem:

when i tried to use the bar (dont know the exact name of the bar that u use to loosen the lugs) to take off the lugs, it didnt fit..the lugs on the front tire is SMALLER than the bar that he gave me..so i drove my other car down to kragen and bought the "universal" bar that has FOUR different sizes..lucky me!! it STILL didnt fit..all 4 settings were still too big..

now my other friend who has owned almost every HB that ever came out told me that since my hb was ORIGINALLY from canada, that it might have came with canadian lugs??? or the lugs the old seller gave me couldve been some weird lugs from god knows where..and today i looked at another EF hb (not sure what year though) and the lugs he had were different than mine..

i might go to honda dealership this week but i have NO idea wat to do now..anyone have suggestions, comments, or even pictures of their stock lugs on their EF HB's..

and lastly, do the 88-91 HBs have different lugs sizes STOCK compared to 90-91 HB's?

C'mon, somthing harder than this.

Canada is Metric. Duh, you got American standard...

BTW, Honda nor Toyota make their brand names tires, what kind of tires are you talking about? Or whatever the hell your smokin' -- pass it.

just use a pipe wrench and a breaker bar. then buy some new lugs.

that would be the lug wrench. try using a socket set and see if anything will fit. or they could be aftermarket lugs that need a key to be removed.

88-91 all use the same size lug. only difference is for models with hubcaps they have special lugs that hold the caps on. canadian lugs - there is no such thing. canadian civic lugs = us civic lugs = jdm civic lugs. the thread pattern doesnt change.

you might wanna consider the difference between a tire and a wheel. a tire is made of rubber and mounted to a wheel. a wheel is made of metal. the wheel and tire together are not called the tire.... your post would be muuuuch easier to understand if you recognized this.

honestly just take your car to a tire shop. they should be able to help you out pretty easily. no offence to you and your friends but from the sound of your post a 5 year old omish girl could probably school you when it comes to cars

let me apologize..i know the difference between a tire and a wheel..if u check my post clearly, i specifically said WHEEL and not TIRE..but i know i made the mistake of naming the thread "cant take my TIRES off" so that was my mistake..but anyways, thanks for the help..if i need further assitance, ill post here..thanks

EDIT, actually, i reread my post..and yes, i did use the word tire in the place of wheel a few times..i apologize again for using the word tire instead of wheel..i know the difference and thanks for the harsh comments guys! exactly why i love some parts of H-T so much..

and i do know about cars...sorry if my lingo doesnt show it but i dont need to prove anything here..all i gotta say is thanks for the help..

and btw tylerspec, its spelled Amish

forgot to add, the car is not driveable and i dont wanna spend money towing the car to a gas station..just wanna take off the lugs myself

and i already tried using my tools and none of them fit the lugs..so im kinda stuck..
any suggestions now ?

to be honest dude, your post was stupid, that is why people were on your case. Dont take it personally, just dont just run to HT whenever the car doesnt turn on or u cant take a wheel off, think for a few min and 99% of the time you will figure it out.

sorry if u thought my post was stupid but im not too familiar with EF's since they are pretty old and i havent worked on one before..and yes, i did take time to think of a solution and i couldnt think of one..so why not go on H-T and ask for advice..? but anyways, does anyone else have suggestions? if not, then im gonna go ahead and try and use the breaker bar and work away and if that seriously doesnt work, ill use a tow truck and tow it down to the gas station..

and no offense taken really..its just a message board..i never post in this forum really, mostly in the FI forum since thats my main interest

Like someone said earlier, get a socket set and try everyone to see if they fit. Use whatever size it is, add a pipe or use a breaker bar to get them off. I dont know how small the lugs are, but honda's are usually 19mm, if its smaller try 18, 17 and work your way down.
