there is a LOT of interior noise in mah 91 hatchie. is this normal? there sounds like clattering in the trunk area and just overall, the ride is noisy. any idea on how to deaden some of the noise?

 

go to lowe's and buy some r19 insulation. it almost looks like bubble wrap. its in the insulation isle. pull your carpet and plastic and put this in it. your car will be quiet, and very well insulated. i know a few people that have done this and it sounds like an awesome idea to me.

 

The general noise you hear is because it is a Civic. Civic = not a whole lot of sound proofing. If you want a quiet ride from the factory do not get and 88-91 Civic.

Putting in sound mat of some sort would be your other option.
