Don't expect much out of it, its a welder that will do the job if nothing else is available. Good for a few small things, I don't see if it has a wire speed adjustment, seems like it only has adjustment for the amps.

if ur not a professional welder or doing any heavy duty welding, just patch panels for filling holes in on the engine bay i would say buy it. when i need a tool im gunna use alot i got to sears and get craftsman or snap on but if im only gunna use it once or twice i go to harbor fright and get the cheapest tool i need or something that works for me. id rather spend my money on nicer car parts then let expensive tools collect rust.

I have the 110v version. I bought it like 3-4 years back for $180 on sale.

I just recently hooked it up to gas, with flux its pretty messy. Gas makes a huge difference.

If you plan on doing something serious with it, or any kind of fab work, then get something else.
I've made a few things, like a stand for my bench grinder, a stand for my LCD at work.

I have found it lays a smoother bead and looks better with .026 carbon steel wire but lacks penetration of the .030 wire its intended for.

The wire speed control sucks at slow speeds, basically forces you to weld fast.
