Default Problem with passenger seat (01 ex coupe)

Hey fellas!

I got a little problem that started friday with my 01 ex coupe (cloth interior, non power seats) front passenger's seat.

It used to operate normally, but without any warning, it wont slide completely to the back (foward/backward motion). There seems to be at least 6" of travel missing. The rest will operate normally, but i cant get it to go slide completely to give max leg room.

I tried to check if anything was obstructing the rails, nothing. The lever mechanism works fine. When i push the seat towards the back with the lever in "free mode" It will stop as if it would normally when you are at the maximum of travel allowed. Only, it's really not as far as it should be.

Anyone have an idea of what could be the problem? This is pretty annoying..

remove seat and turn it upside down and check for obstructions. 4 bolts and the seat is out....should take about 10 mins tops to remove and reinstall

Change is most likely in the track. I fixed my brother's pass. seat by pulling it out, turning it upside down, and out fell the quarter.

Haha. I always have change coming out of my pockets and falling under the seat or in the track.

One night I had my cellphone sliding out of my pocket and fall between the seat and center console.

No big deal: jumped into the back of the car to pick it up from under the seat. Found nothing.
Getting frustrated I called my own number and heared the phone vibrate from under the seat so it had to be there... After a couple of calls I discovered the phone had dropped into the seat track. It survived but came out greasy and with a couple of scratches...

Well i found the problem yesterday, took the seat out and what did i find!? A tiny trim screw was stuck in the console side rail. No wonder i didnt see anything!

At least it explains where that screw went when i heard it fall last time i messed around the radio..
