Hi, i'm in the process of selling my black 97 hatch and buying a purple 99 hatch so i;m looking for pics of purple eks (if theres already a thread sorry i missed it, been looking for 3-4 days but no find)

Ps if your wondering why i'm excited to be getting a "manly colored civic" it's because it has a sleeved 2.0 ls vtec turbo

If its 96-98 its called Dark Amethyst Pearl, if the car is 99-00, its call Vintage Plum Pearl.

i later got a 98 DAP. too bad some thieves got it. f!!ck thieves.

 

guamie, you're right. the hatches were DAP from 97-99, and (im guessing) VPP in 00, the sedans were VPP from 99-00.

 

the car is definitely Dark Amethyst Pearl, the color looks good on a cleaned up ride thanks for pics and hoping for more

DAP ek's are fckin bad. I love DAP, next to Midori Im not sure which one I like more.

Dark Amethyst Pearl came on '97-'99 US Civic hatchbacks.

Vintage Plum Pearl came on '00 Civic sedans (EX and LX I think).
The midwing was available in the US too.

You guys should post in the big DAP thread instead.

yes. all over the damn place. especially on my 99.
i think it has been brought up before on the big DAP thread. but i can't find that thread.

 

I've only seen one DAP car with peeling paint in person and it was a '99 also.
