NJ FT 1990 VW Jetta VR6 swapped for your hatch/coupe EF/EG/EK/DC2 in NORTH Jersey
********CAR IS LOCATED IN LEDGEWOOD, NJ 07852*********
MUST BE 5SPD.
you must come here. im not driving a car in the winter time with no heat. ill be more than happy to take you for a quick ride though.
even trade, or trade + cash on your end.
85,1xx miles (i think...i cant remember exactly) on 97 obd2 mk3 swap, idles perfectly runs and drives great. starts every single time you turn the key. Pulled the valve cover and oil pan, top of head is spotless...no metal shavings when I pulled the pan.
shell is a 1990 CE2 wolfsburg edition 4dr jetta with approx 115k miles. it has been garaged for the last year since ive had it, and looks ike it has for all of its life. its a clean (rust free) shell, but a few panels have dents (big one being the passenger rear door, looks like someone punched it). the paint most likely could be saved with a nice buff, but i never really cared about either as it was to be a weekend/track car. car is completely stripped aside from a pair of power recaros, a cluster, and all 4 door cards. No a/c, p/s, heater box/blower assembly, headliner, carpet, back seats, etc. i did not utilize any sort of radiator cross member as i got a passat one with the swap. i hated how it looked (drops the rad SUPER low, looks real douchey) so i fabbed my own from 3/16" steel. shaved a little weight off the direct front of the car, and the rad sits perfect. win/win. the little wiring that had to be soldered was done by an Audi tech, no crimps used, and heat shrunk/wrapped in e-tape. the fans utilize a plug for both of them, so if you have need to take them out just unplug them...no wire cutting necessary. i know someone whos known where this car has been for the past 8 or so years, and its been in good hands. but anyways, lets get to the good stuff.
New parts with less than 20 miles:

16v lip
FK powertech coils, dampening adjustable
strut mounts and bearings (HD in front, stock in rear but have a set of polys for the rear as well)
oil pan (used, but not damaged) w/new gasket
filled with fresh oil and coolant along with a new Mahle oil filter of course
exhaust manifold -> head gaskets, 2 studs and all nuts
optima yellowtop
have a new timing chain kit for it, didn't put it in but will come with the car. They won't need to be replaced for quite a while, they're quiet as hell.
I'm sure there's more but can't think of the rest. Have reciepts for every new part and the vr6 swap. There's also lots of new bolts and odd ball parts that took me forever to find part #s for.
Was meant to be a fun weekend car with occasional track use but my priorities have changed. I still have the dash and a few odds and ends for the interior. I also have all the wiring for everything, but it's just not plugged in to the fuseblock. and have tons of other parts to go with it as well
what it needs to be a solid DD:
alignment
get a full interior and a heaterbox/blower assembly
locate ecu to raintray and get a hard plastic raintray piece (shell never came with one when i got it)
cover up some holes in the firewall with grommets or block off plates (a/c, old speedo cable hole, cabin filter unless you throw a blower assembly in it)
clip for the front bumper on the driver side
could also use a new front valence piece, its pretty beat
couple shitty pics:

I have over $6000 in reciepts and took me 11 months to build because im **** and it took me a while to save up for what i needed. Let me know if you're interested...I respond to IMs much quicker. can take more pics upon request.
shitty picture of how the interior looked during the swap...looks a little cleaner/mess of wires is cleaned up/brackets have been made to make the cluster sit real nice

TTT.
Thanks! Really looking to get something that's known to run forever. Things will be getting tough soon and last thing I need is a project car. If I end up keeping it it's going back under the knife in spring. Which will kill my pocket
