Does it shake and try to stall sometimes? Mine goes down too, especially after driving... What a pain in the ***. I did a valve adjustment, checked timing, found no vacuum leaks... Time to get it diagnosed.

-The manual I seen said to do a few more things than adjusting the screw. I don't have a scanner but I do have a web cam. I hope this helps.

*All info is from the original 1988 CIVIC CRX Service Manual.

I believe he is talking about ajusting the idle air control valve. It will make the car idle erradically. Do a search on ajusting the IACV.

hey im having the same problem......but heres my deal...I cant seem to adjust my screw.....like mine barely has a slit for the screwdriver and it wont turn for the life of me......

I installed a d16a6 head onto my d15b2 block and converted to mpfi as well...a week ago this worked great...but I took the head back off to do a lil cleaning....now im having problems starting it....the car idles at practiculy zero...wont rev if given gas at all...and will eventually die while also shaking....

What could it be.....bad vaccum line setup or is it somthing more??? idle adjust screw...how can I make my IACV adjust so my rpm is going all over the place...Id like it to get some life and deal with it from there instead of it being thump thump thump and it dies.....

Perhaps the timing??

Okay I got my idle screw to turn....adjusted it a bit..and it did nothing

but the good news is I checked my timing and it was off like a ****....TDC marks and all.....how I dont know...so I spent an hour redoing that...and boom it started up then I had to fix my idle problem cause I was idling at 2000 do the the screw being open....fixed that now im at a steady 800....and its strong as hell...

I say check your timing.....
