reading engine code
I'm trying to help my son on his crx. He has a 89 crx with the D15 engine. If I am reading the codes right it blinks fast 10 times then 14 times then repeats. can anyone tell me what this means or point me in the right direction to find what the codes mean?
usually the codes 10 and 14 at the same time means that the connectors for the 2 sensors are switched - code 10 is for the Intake Air Temp sensor and code 14 is for the Electronic Air Control Valve - the connector for the IAT sensor is a white 2-wire connector with red with yellow stripe and green with white stripe wires - the connector for the EACV is a green connector with blue with yellow stripe and black with yellow stripe wires
EACV is located on the side of the #1 cylinder intake manifold runner and the IAT is located on the top of the #2 cylinder intake manifold runner
