what is a rolling chassis?

what is a rolling chassis?

i heard this before, i think refering to a domestic car and i was just curious what it means?

Usually means there is no motor or transmission in the car, but it has the front and rear suspension and wheels.

correct... it generally means there is nothing in the chassis except for wheels and suspension... meaning u can "roll it away"
