Power stearing pump went out a few weeks back. how long before it becomes a larger problem, cause now i moved into central calif where preludes and junkyards are few and far between. dont want to pay the $200 + for the new part.

 

Drop the belt to make sure the PS pump isn't turning and you can go forever.

 

Or if you have no plans of fixing it.. loop the lines on the steering rack and it will be easier to turn. There should be a helpful thread in the sticky'd FAQ section if you want to get this route.

 

Looped my lines last year, went a full racing season (Autocross, lapping, and dragracing) and I had no issues.

You definitely get a better feel for the road!

 

i have one of my h22a id you want it. it came with my h22a when i did my jdm swap

 

I also have a PS pump if you need....just been sitting in my garage.

 

I dropped the belt, i really dont mind not having it. but ill keep in mind thats you guys have some sitting sround. how much?

Sent PM to those who have a pump. Mine died and wife drives the car so can't can it yet till I get her a new car. Let me know if you are able to part with it as this pump is shaking really bad and don't want her to drive the car till I replace it. I didn't see it stated except the engine but it is for a 5th gen.

how do u guys loop the lines on the steering rack ? i have no ps on my car at all. it would help if i can make it feel a little better
