spend a couple days searching, theres plenty of info on here and plenty of pages to read.

as you said your kinda new to motors so its best to learn a bit before jumping into a build

especially after a recent similar thread wasted so much space....

I'd get rid of those type s pistons. The valve reliefs on those pistons are a pain with the stroker crank unless u do a custom head gasket thicker of course. So that or get the valve reliefs cut so the valve don't hit the piston but me i'd get a thicker head gasket .051 to .061 it will drop the compression a bit around 11. 5 or so but at least u will be safe meaning no piston to valve or head.

But research alot before doing this its all in here.

Do your research using type s pistons you have use a .51 cometic head gasket beacuse the piston sticks out of the hole .20. clay your motor afterward to be sure you goo d piston to valve clearance with whatever cam you choose

And to add, the Rocket cam packages start at 960 dollars (they only sell them as packages with springs, retainers, spark plugs) Skunk cams are in the 650+ range for Pro Series, and you'd need springs for sure but retainers you could get chromoly KMS ones for 80 dollars. There isnt as much a price difference as you may think (plus there are members here selling them sometimes for 500 dollars or less). So maybe you dont like skunk2 for some other reason

the cams are the least of your worrys.

you want to throw an h23 crank in and run s pistons w/ a decent cam....

thats a no no

besides s pistons are a waste of your time, you wont notice a difference w/ them.

either keep the block stock and drop some skunk pro 1s in it = around 1k

or sleeve it and run the h23 crank w/ custom pistons and pro 2s = 3k -4k

or get the h23 vtec bluetop and drop some pro 1s in that. = around 2300.

do some more searching because the setup you listed is not the way to go...

Spoken by one of the few H22 gurus . Take a look at his build-ups, even his stock block version. Very strong
