The Evo was an awesome track car but I couldn't justify cutting up and welding a roll cage into a $30k vehicle. The 275 wide r compound tires are also very expensive to replace. This Honda wasn't only way cheaper to buy, but will also be way cheaper/easier to fix and run a season on. I should be able to have 99% of the fun I had in the Evo, if not more, at a fraction of the cost. I've been road racing for 15 years and have been really impressed with these low weight, realliable Hondas. I've owned and raced everything from M3's to Evo's and STI's. I also owned a 94 Civic Si that I bought new in 94 so this brings back some memories for me!
