question about head swapping

Default question about head swapping

i have a civic with the d16y7 in it and it has a rod knock
i also have a d15something the has a burnt valve.
is it possible to put the 1.6 head on the good block?
is there anything goofy ill run into?

You'll need to use 9 head studs/bolts from the D15 and 1 head stud from the Y7. That 1 head stud/bolt goes in the back passenger side corner. It's because it's a shorter bolt/stud, and the way the head is designed, it won't seal properly with all D15 head bolts/studs.

ok i just pulled the headgaskets for both and two holes arent even close... now theres a chance theyre wrong gaskets mainly cause im not sure what engines they are exactly but it doesnt look like theyll work at all... anyone have any input on this?
the holes are on the end one in front and one in back. same place though...
