Here's the deal: I have a spoiler on my 5G, so they naturally have to install higher tension torsion bars in the trunk right?
Well, the clip that holds those bars against the roof of the trunk keep popping out. In fact, I've been the Honda 7 times to fix that. Finally they gave me new springs. It popped out anyway.
Now I have looked at the hole, and it's all bent up. I decided to fix it myself, straitening out the hole with needlenose pliers, but the clip once again began to pop out.
My final solution was to use 4 zip ties in appropriate places so that no matter the movement of the torsion bars, the clip could not pop out.
Has anyone else had this problem? It causes your trunk not to pop up when you open it, and can cause rattling as well.
