Broski, the reason why we do it is for LOOKS..

But the real reason it was d0one back in the dayz.. was for engine clearance 9in swapped vehicles.. old school drift cars like ae86 used to do it.. since they couldnt close theyre hoods.. they lifted it.. and now the honda scene uses the same idea for Looks..
