remote FOB won't open the rear doors
Hey, I have a Honda Accord LX '97. Recently I took a two months vocation and after I came back, my remote FOB had problem to open both rear doors. (1) I replaced the car battery when I returned from my vocation.
(2) It is intermittent, meaning sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. it seems like it can always lock the rear doors with no issue. I can hear mechanically it tried to unlock them but it locked them back down.
(3) The driver/pass sides have no issue whenever I used my remote FOB.
(4) It apprears when the car is sitting under a good warm day, it may work.
(5) I can hardly believe it is the mechanical problem such as the actuators for both rear doors die at the same time?
(6) After I pulled the robs up, they worked immediately for a while using the FOB, but will down later.
(7) Also, the LED light (ALARM LED in the car) does not lit any more.
(8) I tend to believe there is bad connection somewhere but like what?
Does any body know what might be the root cause for this? I appreciate the anwer

It may turn out to be a mechanical problem after all, except for the alarm led. Check how much force is needed to pull up the robs manually: should be about the same for all doors (except maybe the driver's).
Had a similar issue with one of the rear doors after it had been repaired from an accident: sprayed some silicone oil onto the rob.

Thanks for the reply, I had to pulled the Rod pretty hard to open the doors. One thing that bothers me is how come both doors responded the same -- died at the same time, worked at the same time and required the same amount of force to pull? Thanks again.
