Car & Driver recorded a 6.1 second 0-60 time
The Australian Dc5R does about mid to high 6's. However im sure if driven to its potential may be in the low 6's to mid 6's....
Cheers

i agree but still seems too fast for an s.....wow an s can do 0-60 in 6.1 yet an r can only do it in about the same time or a little faster hmm wonder where the extra 20 horses and lsd went

Torque? Gearing? A lot of variables can account for performance, including weather conditions. For example Road & Track tested their 'Hot cars under 25k' in 100+ degree weather and their performance stats are significantly (and consistently) slower than other numbers available for those cars.

Car and Driver times always seem to be the fastest. I've heard (don't remember where) that sometimes the magazines exaggerate their times to show that they are superior drivers, or better editors from competing magazines.
I watched my friend with a stock '01 ITR take an RSX S with an intake on the street. Obviously this doesn't prove much because of driver skill and other variables, but if the S was that fast I think it should have been even or faster than the ITR.

I was really wondering what kind of times real people - owners - were getting at timed runs. I thought that might be more realistic than the times the mags report as they differ by 7/10's of a second (maybe more).
I dunno about 0-60 times, but people in clubrsx have pulled anywhere in the range of high 14's with some mods, intake and exhaust, people pulled in around low 15's stock. Check the 1320 forum for time slips

Unless the car was some sort of fluke or preproduction model, I don't know what to tell you. Maybe C&D writers are just better drivers
They tested a Type S in a coupe comparo recently and I'm pretty sure they got similar numbers. I'll try to dig it up

Maybe someone who has an RSX-S and also a G-tech and is willling to do some testing and enlighten us...the G-tech would be within .1 -.2 sec accuracy....I've got the G-tech, but alas, not RSX-S...doh.
Ps - according to the G-tech, my best 0-60 was 6.9 in a '94 GSR with only a K&N in the stock airobox...
