hawk hps break in come to stop or?

Default hawk hps break in come to stop or?

k it says on the box to do 6to10 stops from 30-35 now do i completely stop or just stop down to a certain mph it is not specific , reading online some say stop completely and some say dont please help want to break them in tom thanks

from what ive read....your not supposed to come to a complete stop because it can cause the pad to leave a "imprint" on your rotor if it gets hot enough.

You can come to a complete stop as long as you don't hold the brakes down after you stop. I just installed the hps pad on my s2k a couple months ago and basically the break in steps are to start at 30-0 and increase to about 60-0. I did about 10 good agressive stops and by that time I could smell the new pads. They were perfect after that.

^^thats the same thing i did on my eg coupe. i came to complete stops if that helps you op. i also let them cool off for like an hour or so before driving again.

Don't slow down that much, go 60-10 and repeat.... in fact on "bed in" day... dont use the brakes to come to a complete stop at all... and especially dont use the hand brake when you park
