Default 99 2.3l non-vtec

Okay, so this may be a stupid question, but my dad's friend has an accord that is a 1999 2.3 non-vtec automatic. I was wondering what the motor code is and if it would be hard to swap the motor with a new one.(same motor) I have swapped single cam civic's but have never touched accord's. thanks for any help.

i think the non-VTEC version is the F23A5. All i know about it is that it came in the DX and LX VP models...

it shouldn't take much though to swap an F23A1 VTEC motor from the EX model in there. it should bolt up the same. i'm sure you would need the VTEC ECU and you may need to run a few wires. hope this helps some..
