new crx owner, need help
hey guys,
I'm new to honda-tech but not new to hondas or modding. I also post on s2ki and have a 00 s2k. I just picked up a crx last night. Its a 91 with a d16z6 swap. I dont really know alot about crx's so I would like so help of fixing a couple things. The per. owner said he had 17's on it and when he went back to the 13's he said he never tightened the traction bars in the front. it seems to have a popping noise when you take off or turning. Would tighting the traction bars fix this? It has a stage 2 clutch in it but I dont think that has anything to do with it.
also the motor burns oil and I'm debating on if I should rebuild it or If I should just keep saving and go on and do a b16a2 swap.

thanks for the advice I'll check it out.
I have a new problem. it wont idle smoothly. It keeps idling up and down. do I need to replace the ICV or would it be somthing else?

its on the back of your intake manifold, two bolts hold it on. Its really simple to pull and clean. If you pull it make sure you have a new gasket for it also. If you look in the EF sticky it covers on pulling it and cleaning it out. Just pulled mine it had wood and leaves in it. If that dont fix it I would start looking for a vaccum leak.

relatively simple process... remove the iacv located on the back of the intake manifold(has two bolts and two hoses), spray it with brake cleaner fluid to get all the gunk out. let dry or use a compressor to help dry it faster... then put it back in.
