FS: 2002 Subaru WRX Wagon, $9300, 95,500 miles
Hello Honda-tech-ers! I've been trying to sell my Subaru through a variety of channels, so I thought I would put it up here to see if anyone is interested. The car is located in either West Lafayette, IN or Naperville, IL, depending on where I find myself that week. Here's a sales pitch for it:
Up for sale is my second WRX, a 2002 model with ~95,500 miles. I'm selling because I can't afford having car payments at this point of my life.
The Bad:
Transmission is making a whirring noise - I can't quite put my finger on what it is, but I had new output shaft bearings pressed in and multiple fluid changes (using Extra-S), but the noise still remains. The transmission shifts fine every time, doesn't grind into any gear, but it just whines when you drive.
Body wise, there are a few small dents on the passenger rear door and some scratches on the roof, which I assume happened when the previous owner installed the bike rack.
The Good:
It's an unmolested wagon with the Subaru/Yakima bike rack, armrest extension, Subaru factory short shifter, and a surprisingly clean interior. As you may notice in the photos, the dealer plastic floor mats are still in the car and I do have the WRX floor mats as well.
Previous owner was a non-smoking (as am I) 50-something family man who had owned the car since new.
Given the fact that the car is in overall good shape, aside from the whiny gear box and some blemishes in the paint, I think that $9300 is a fair place to start the sale at.
If the buyer is concerned with the gearbox, I would be willing to install a gearbox for free, but I would have to charge for another gear box. For piece of mind, I have driven this car to Nashville and back with no troubles and I frequently commute between Naperville, IL and West Lafayette, IN and have not had any issues at all with the car.
Without further ado, the photos:

If you have any questions at all, feel free to ask!

Ahhh yes, the Evo - that's our (my friend's, but I promote and occasionally race it) race car. If you want more info on it, check out professionalawesome.com /shameless plug
Thanks for the bump!

Thanks for all of the bumps! I will miss the combination of practicality and speed, but I suppose I can always buy one later when I have a good job.
Again, I will install a new transmission if the buyer wants me to. I know the process well now, as I've already been through it!

Hahahaha bump for a neighbor. I've seen this wagon outside along with plenty of other imports and they all look clean. If it wasn't a wagon I might actually walk down the street and check it out. GLWS.

You're the Integra with the Mugen rear wing, right? We keep wondering when you're going to make your way down the street!

If you are interested in seeing it, just let me know. I am looking for a quick sale, as I have to get out of car payments for a while.
