Clunking when driving, goes away when i press in the clutch...
I just got my prelude, and joined the forums. I have a few problems with it but nothing serious, that is until i was driving one day and i shifted into second and i start getting a clunkish sound that feels very painful. As i increase in speeds the clunk gets faster. at first i thought it was a suspension component, till i pressed the clutch and the car was back to "normal" so i shifted, and here comes the clunk again. I'm actually a car guy, but transmission boggle me. I was hoping/wondering someone might have gone through this before and knows what's going on. I'm thinking it might be my throw out bearing or maybe even a pressure plate?
If you could keep negative comments out, would be much appreciated. Would just appreciate some help.
BTW, its a 1998 Honda Prelude SH with 62k Original miles.
