non-VTEC : Thanks, I'll give them a call. I want it done right, so if they cost a bit more I don't mind.

That's fine. As long as my car gets tuned properly he can use any dyno he wants, doesn't really matter to me. Afterwards, I'll just take it to the first dyno I went to just to compare. Does anyone have any first hand experience with Japanese Auto?

not me, but yoshio is very very very well known for his tuning..there hasn't been a thread for like a year on this board about him though...didn't realize he worked in toronto until today.

Yoshio burns custom chips for OBDI and II.
But i think he's better on the OBDI.
Right now he has dyno in his shop.
If you are not looking for a chip, you dont have to go to Jap Auto.
But i think Yoshio is the only one has O2 hook on on the dyno.

Theres dyno in 400&steeles.

If anyone is looking to save some money on a Techtom chip (this is what yoshio uses), let me know. I am getting rid of mine soon in favour of a Hondata. I don't know all the applications, but it is in a P72 right now. Yoshio is the man btw. My car has been turboed for three years and ran great. He tuned my car with a chip that doesn't even read boost. He just went by tps and rpm. This is with RC 440cc injectors too. Stock like idle and I averaged 32mpg over those three years. Not bad for a mid 13 second car. Anyway that was good for 5psi, but I really think I should have something that reads boost now that I'm turning it up. Oh ya, they do have a box that you can solder in now so that the techtom chips can read boost.

No clue. I will let you know if I can find the bill. It was well over a grand, but that was tuning, the chip install, and a couple other things. I believe his dyno tuning rate is $150/hour, but don't quote me.

Last I heard. Yoshio is focusing on turbos only now. Mainly WRX's. Dyno tuning for a WRX is about $1K Cdn I believe. Anyways, I personally know many unhappy N/A tuned cars that he has done. Mainly in the area of partial throttle. He does get the most horsepower but daily driving is another story. Some people have had success with his tuning but the ones I know personally have not. This is only for N/A tuning. He is the king of turbo tuning.
