im in the same situation you should check your local craigslist they got some cheap bike for the right price and most of them are OBO i miss out on 4 deals cause i didnt come up with the cash quick enoughh

kawai 250's are new for 3k

Have you ever rode a bike before? If you are a newbie, I highly suggest a Kawasaki Ninja 250. I have a 08 250 myself (hoping to pick up an '06 R6 in a few weeks) and I think that the 250 is perfect for beginners. Docile enough to keep you out of trouble, fun enough if you actually know how to ride a bike. It isn't to hard to sell your 250 when you're done, since there is always a strong market for beginner bikes.

But then again, it's your call. Just don't forget to ride without proper gear!

 

yes ive riden a 600 and a 954. the 954 was too much for me, it almost made me **** my pants. the 600 was perfect, so im assuming that the 250 isnt up to par with the 6. i havnt been on a 250 yet but maybe i should try it for that good of a price

Ive been looking on craigs list everyday looking for a deal.. sometimes you find some really cheap that are just laid down or something.. think thats what imma do just wait to find a cheap clean bike i know i can fix.. that way if i drop it i know i didnt spend so much on it.. lol
