so anyone experience this?

turn the key and engine turns over and immediately shuts off. Does this 2-3 times then finally stays on. Been doing this consistently for the past week usually only when the engine is cold. Battery and alternator is cool. Plugs/wires/oil is cool.

I get code 16 during vtec so i was going to replace the injectors, but now this is starting to sound like an ecu issue also what i thought might throw code 16 since main relay is cool.

any ideas?

 

My manual only shows code 15 and 17

but it says if it is cutting out and check engine is on and self diagnostics light is on and ecu is sending code 15 then it is on the Backup Unit for the ECU and you should swap out the ECU to test...

could be a main relay
you might have enough fuel line pressure to get the car started then it cuts out

If you need one you can get them online just check the part # ... less then Honda and same part.

 

you have a bad starter ignition switch...!!!
