The right rear outside door handle opens the door but does not return by itself, I have to push it in. The power lock does not work on this door either. It would be great if I had the part on hand when I remove the door panel. Anyone seen this problem before? Do the two problems have a common part failure or do I have two problems?

 

the only way to tell, is to remove the door panel and inspect whats going on in there...
you may have a bad door lock actuator and maybe something else as well...but like i said, you wont know, till you take a look
