Ok so my little cousin is a girl, she has a AUTO accord 4cyl vtec

The only way it starts is by hot jumping the starter directly with a wire lead.


What should i look for ? I replaced the ignition switch... didnt do anything.
When you turn they key NOTHING happens but the fuel pump does kick on...
All fues's are good, is there a relay to check maybe ?

Maybe a auto nuetral safty switch ? I dont work on auto's very often...

Shoot me some trouble shooting idea's please !

Have you checked the connection between the starter wire and the underhood fusebox?

 

nope but i will.... any more idea's ?

 

Try putting the car in neutral to start it and see if it yields more luck also. If it works fine with the car in neutral then yea there is a problem therein but if not then it's something else.
