I wouldn't advise it, for two reasons. One, those low offset numbers mean that you will probably need to roll your fenders and maybe change your camber settings. Two, most of the Sportmax wheels are too wide for most tires our cars use; for example, if it's a 15x8 wheel, that's too wide for the 195/55-15 or 205/50-15 tires that are normally used on an Integra, and you'd be stuck getting 225/45-15 tires for it. Those steamrollers might be okay if this is for track use, but not for the street.

^^^^ Uhhh... You can fit 195's on the 8'' rim and it won't even be a stretch, i'd say it would just be the begining of one. Go with the 15's, your gunna have to roll your fenders, maybe even roll your arch's. It really depends if you wanna tuck them or not, it will look gay as aids if you don't.

With 225'S, you will have to get fender flares, they will never fit within your fenders.
I donno if you've ever seen V DUBBERS, Rollin on 185's on a 8'' rim. Anything is possible, depending on what it is you really want to accomplish.

Not at all true.

Most 195/55-15 tires are approved by the manufacturer for wheels 5.5" to 7" in width. Anything wider than that is unsafe, and is stretching the tire.

I said it's just begining to stretch. Read my post again, with your eyes open this time. Plus its not unsafe at all, people have been doing it for years and years, i wouln't go autox'ing on a stretched tire, but i know many people that do. Drifting... stretched tire; to loose traction.. so im pretty sure if they can use it, you can daily it.

Very nice. Insulting for no reason, and completely irrelavent.

"People have been doing it for years". So what. I've been smoking cigarettes for years, does that make them safe? It hasn't killed me yet, that must make them safe, right?

The manufacturers list a wheel size range that they have approved their tires for mounting on, and no 195/55-15 is approved for mounting on an 8" wide wheel.

Its not "beginning to stretch". Its past what is approved. Period.

You're saying "I'm pretty sure its ok", while I'm saying (just as nsxtasy is saying) "do what the people who make the tire know is ok". See the difference?

And people wonder why many of the knowledgable people have left HT and gone elsewhere...

There's a reason why the tire manufacturers specify a range of approved rim widths for each model and size of tire they sell. Within that range, it works fine. When you go outside that range, it creates excessive stress and heat in the sidewalls; this can, and often does, result in the tires popping the bead and/or blowing out. It happens all the time. And if it does, you'll be out the cost of your tire and of any other damage that might happen as a result. Don't even think about asking for the tire to be replaced under warranty, because the tire companies won't, period. They've seen it happen over and over again, which is why they know not to offer warranty replacement on improper usage. Sure, maybe you'll be lucky and your tires won't fail on you... but why would you ever want to take the chance? DON'T DO IT.
