wire tuck question
Hey everybody. im new to the site but i was hoping you could help me out. i have a 92 prelude that i swapped the h22a into. i just dropped the motor again for a NA rebuild and while i am working on it i was wondering what wires i can do without. i want to wire tuck it when i put it back in. i dont have ac or ps so thats out of the way. any ideas of what to move and where and what to get rid of would be a huge help. love the site to everyone is real helpful.
P/S actually is hoses, the pump, and some hardlines. There are several write up's on how to remove them in the faq section. A/C once again is mainly lines, a pump, condensor, etc. Those are all over the engine bay. Find a diagram that shows you what they are and where they are and remove them. The only wires for A/C are on the driver side fender harness. There are a few things you can remove from that harness if you want.
i got all the ac and ps hoses and stuff out. is there any emissions stuff i can take out or any vaccume lines i can get rid of. and as far as wires go is there any that i just dont need. i also wanna get rid of my abs is there a certain proportioning valve i will need
Man, you need to do more research instead of jumping head first into this.
You can get rid of everything in there. You need a 40/40 prop valve, and thats it for going to non abs. Dont listen to other people tell you, you need the "S" Master Cylinder, because its a load of ****.
As far as emmissions goes.
Well, let me put it to you like this, if you know what your doing, you can rid of everything in the bay except the engine

thanks for the info. but what do u mean if i no what im doing i can get rid of everything but the engine. r u saying i dont need any of the vaccume lines. how do i hide sensor wires.
That is exactly my point, if you know what your doing you wont have to ask these kinds of questions.
You will always need a vaccum line to the map sensor and butterfly valve atleast.
Tucking the wires is easier said than done. I go from under neath and make my own harness.

No, no you do not.
Run no IABs and MAP on the TB. The only vacuum line you NEED is the one to the FPR, and even then you can seriously tuck that with an aftermarket rail and some careful planning.
And if you do a non-power brake conversion, you don't need the line to that, or you can turn the booster 180* and have the nipple coming out of the bottom and then on the manifold turn the nipple so its facing down. It all but hides the hose.
You can dump all the emissions stuff, you can route the brake lines into the cabin and put the prop valve where the heater core used to be and then barely run the lines from the prop valve to the wheel well in the engine bay as little as possible.
There really isn't a set way to do it, you just have to get in there and do it yourself and figure it out. unplug stuff and see what it does, or if it causes a CEL. or research what all emissions stuff you can dump.
